Dr Albert Atkin
My most recent work focuses on the use of linguistics in Epistemology.

I am particularly interested in providing an analysis of “know” which treats its meaning as invariant and insensitive to subjects’ interests, yet is rich enough to explain the intuitions of Contextualists and those who think “know” is interest relative.

My hope is that a thorough explanation of the linguistics of epistemological verbs will engage with scepticism, answer to our ordinary intuitions, and even offer an explanation of why we value knowing over understanding or merely truly believing.
